This month we are excited to feature not one, but three ‘Thirsty Thursday’ sponsors to kick off this years Eastside Culture Crawl! Join us November 20 from 4:30-10pm, for an exciting evening of craft beer, art and design. While you visit our studio and get to know your neighbours, you can sample local brews from Bomber, Main Street and R&B Brewing.
Our neighbour and very first public Thirsty Thursday sponsor, we love them so much we just had to bring them back! Their tasting room is just off the Adanac bike path and offers delicious handmade potato chips to pair with their beers! Not only can you fill up your growler, but you can top up your bike tires with their air pump on your ride home. Featuring an unique roster of beers including their starting line-up (ESB, IPA, Pilsner, and Blonde) as well as seasonals, one-offs, test batches, and specialty casks – there’s always something new and interesting to try! The brainchild of Portland Craft’s Cameron Forsyth and Nigel Pike of The Cascade Company, Main Street Brewing Company is a beer lover’s dream. They have four cask handles built permanently into the bar that feature a constantly rotating one-off casks. The daily bar menu is all locally-sourced and organic, ranging from traditional beer snacks like beef jerky and peanuts to charcuterie and even a vegan, gluten-free stew bowl! Veterans in Vancouver’s craft beer scene, Rick & Barry (the R&B respectively) have brewing down to an art form. They opened their doors in 1997 in East Vancouver’s historic Brewery Creek, and have been brewing full-bodied and distinctly rich beer for the last two decades. Small, modest, local and honest, with no intention of ever changing that, R&B truly embodies the East Van spirit. Although they don’t have a tasting room, they do offer growler fills Thursday to Saturday, with a choice of 5 weekly taps! For more information on R&B visit: r-and-b.com
